The graphics in this laptop are shared. It won't handle any 3D games at all. You will need dedicated graphics, as in some of the 5633 specs.

we still sell many laptops with XP, but Vista laptops are only available from us with the pre-installed operating system. There is nothing to stop you reformatting and installing XP yourself though.

X1300 shared graphics on this notebook. The 5633 have a little bit more performance.

We wouldnt recommend it for high quality games as it doesnt have a dedicated graphics card.

It depends if the possibility of a screen with a dead pixel or two is a big concern for you, as the manufacturers wouldnt class this as a fault unless there are lots of them.

L2 Cache is a small ammount of very fast memory which is built into the CPU itself and acts as a buffer, so the CPU doesnt have to access the RAM as often. Obviously the more the better, but as there are so many factors which make up the overall performance it doesnt make a huge difference.

The ATI graphics card within the notebook has shared memory but is powerful enough to run Windows Vista Premium and the Aero interface. It does not however offer the same gaming performance as a Nvidia or ATI card with dedicated memory.
