This will depend on your modem connection as if it is a USB connection you will need a modem router to replace your existing modem. If it is a network modem then I would recommend product code DI-524/B, as from personal experience the D-Link is very simple to set up and is great for use with Virgin media.

This would be fine, however it has a integrated graphics card. Why not have a look at product code KB363EA, it is slightly dearer but has a dedicated graphics card, ideal for photo manipulation.

It has a trial version of office which will contain Microsoft Word, however a full version will need to be purchased after the trial has expired.

Personally I would go for the Acer Gemstone 5920G as it has a dedicated graphics card suitable for all the latest 3D games, also it features and HDMI port to connect to an HD TV if you want to play your games on a larger screen.

The laptop has a Santa Rosa processor installed and a 0.3 mega pixel camera. The graphics card is a shared memory card which is ideal for watching movies web task and office work, it is not however suitable for gaming. Unfortunately this card can not be upgraded.
